What do all these words mean??

Ok so now here is what has happened…
An underprivileged youth needed special made cleats for football due to his large feet. The cleats costed too much for his family to afford so a charity was started. Someone got him the cleats and the charity raised 21,000$$. And the program used some of the money to get the young man equipment and some on other under privileged teens and now the young mans family is suing the program for the money. The program offered the family 3,000$$ but, they demanded it all saying it was for their son.
Ok… on one hand the money was raised for this young teen and the money.should be his… Rite?? I mean the charity was started because of him. Reguardless how much money was raised… its his. It was raised for him.
And… on the other hand… the charity was started so he can get the special made cleats. He got them and his equipment from the program. And the rest of the money is being used to help other under privileged teens like himself.
Is the program wrong?? Is the money suppose to just go to him??
Now think about that for a minute… Who is entitled to the money… the 21,000$$ ??

-I personally think that the money should stay with the program. I mean the young teen did get his equipment and everything needed. And the program even offered the family another 3,000$$. And now they are using the rest of the funds to help.other under privileged teens.
Is the program really being unfair??-
